The Role
This role is part of the 2025 Global Internship Program, starting in June for ten consecutive weeks and ending in August. Our internship program will expose you to the leadership advisory and executive search industries while preparing you for a career at Heidrick & Struggles through hands-on development, seminars, and coaching. Each intern is given the opportunity to present their project work at the program\'s conclusion.
Our Accounting department is responsible for preparing and supporting Heidrick\'s financial statements. Accounting helps support various business functions through financial analysis and driving processes within the business. Accounting encompasses various teams, including revenue recognition, compensation and general accounting, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support the timely and accurate preparation of monthly journal entries
- Conduct the review of monthly account analysis, by reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
- Assist with the preparation of internal and external audit requests
- Work with various business partners (billing, contract administration, accounts payable, payroll) for timely preparation and resolution of deliverables
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Required Qualifications
- Majoring in Accounting
- Graduating between December 2026 and June 2027
- Proactive, energetic, and possessing a strong work ethic
- A critical thinker who exhibits problem solving abilities
- Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with accounting processes and software (PeopleSoft General Ledger and Oracle HFM a plus)
- Energized by a heavy workload and tight deadlines
- Passion for the accounting industry and its best practices
- Pursuing a CPA licensure once requirements are met
Pay Range Guidelines for this Position:
The hourly range for this position is 24.00 USD to 24.00 USD. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience and skills.
