This opportunity is part of the Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team (GTIO), where our mission is to deliver modern and relevant technology that supports the way McDonald’s works. We provide best-in-class foundational technology products and services including Global Networking, Cloud, End User Computing, and IT Service Management. The Cloud FinOps Operations Sr. Technical Product Analyst role is part of the Cloud Ecosystem team in Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations. The role reports to the Sr. Manager - Cloud FinOps and is responsible for collaborating with Application teams, Business teams, Operations teams and Finance teams to improve operational cost and identify efficiencies. This will include providing financial insights and recommendations on how cloud usage can be optimized, while governing pricing controls and developing automated reporting that enables financial transparency.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology leader to help shape the transformation of infrastructure and operations products and services to the entire McDonalds environment.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Support the cloud monthly budget and forecast process in managing consumption, optimization, and savings in collaboration with Finance, Vendor Management, and Technical Owners.
Support stakeholders in understanding their cloud spend based on their business roadmap and budgeted forecast.
Monitor cloud consumption at the account level to detect, investigate, and escalate anomalies and unplanned spikes.
Analyze, report, and produce meaningful insights from large raw datasets within cloud billing and usage tools, data lake, CMDB, and other asset inventories as applicable.
Collaborate with Cost Optimization Engineers to track resource utilization to define and execute relevant cloud commitment plans and to define strategies to re-purpose freed up capacity.
Collaborates with other product teams, technical architects, developers, and tech leads to understand the technology roadmap for modernization.
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with multiple diverse stakeholders across the company, including members of executive leadership.

The expected salary range for this role is $112,860 - $143,900 per year

Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills: able to present facts, thoughts, and ideas in a clear, concise, and manner to senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated capabilities working in Jira and Confluence.
Extremely knowledgeable about software development / programming due to the technical nature of the role.
Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, including the executive level.
Experience with vendor and vendor contract management, including SLA review.
Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
Lead and drive tagging requirements to ensure proper tracking and reporting of data.
Understand and communicate billing, forecasting, and budgeting best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Significant experience in writing SQL or NoSQL queries and/or designing reports with either relational data or big data.
3+ years of experience with Cloud FinOps and cost management: including cloud optimization opportunities, chargeback process, cloud budget and forecasting, tagging governance.
Certification: FinOps Practitioner, Certification: Azure Fundamentals Certification and/or AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification.
Experience
8+ years of product execution / technical business analyst experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years relevant experience and a Master’s degree.
Experience defining user experience needs, writing epics, stories, and acceptance criteria in any automation scripting language such as Gherkin etc.
Direct experience leading an Agile team.
Demonstrated experience in conducting user research.
