Description

We are seeking a Sr. Tax Accountant to join our client in Chicago, Illinois on a 100% Remote basis. This role involves a high level of proficiency in tax accounting, particularly focusing on state tax return preparation. As a Sr. Tax Accountant, you would engage in complex tax research, state audit defense coordination, and the generation of state income tax returns. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and prepare federal and state income tax returns and calculations.

• Stay updated with state tax laws and regulations and implement this knowledge accordingly.

• Conduct complex tax research and planning, providing expert guidance and management.

• Efficiently utilize Corptax software for tax management and documentation.

• Handle tax provision calculations and provide assistance in the year-end closing process.

• Ensure the accurate processing of customer credit applications.

• Maintain precise customer credit records and monitor customer accounts.

• Utilize skills in Bloomberg Terminal, Business systems, Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Financial software.

• Carry out Accounting Functions, Auditing, Capital Management, Cash Activity, and Compliance duties.

• Prepare and manage multi-state returns using CorpTax Software.

Requirements • Proficiency in Bloomberg Terminal

• Knowledge of Business systems

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

• Proficiency in Financial software

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Understanding of Capital Management

• Experience with Cash Activity management

• Knowledge of Compliance regulations and procedures

• Experience with Multi-state Returns

• Proficiency in CorpTax Software
