JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and strategic Senior Manager of Employee Experience to join our team. Reporting directly to the Director of Employee Experience, this role will be instrumental in creating and implementing initiatives that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. The Senior Manager of Employee Experience will oversee a variety of programs aimed at improving the overall workplace culture and ensuring that our employees feel valued and supported.

DEPARTMENT: NORC People

The NORC People department supports NORC's mission and values by collaborating with research, operations, and administrative departments to recruit, develop, and retain top staff. Because NORC is a government contractor, the NORC People team plays a large role ensuring that all staff information and systems remain secure and that our organization is fully compliant with our policies. NORC People is responsible for talent acquisition, hiring, benefits administration, employee relations matters, and performance evaluation programs to ensure our organization is maintaining compliance while keeping employees’ best interests in mind.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning and Implementation

  • Collaborate with the Director of Employee Experience to develop and execute a comprehensive employee experience strategy.

  • Identify key areas for improvement through data analysis and employee feedback.

  • Develop & Implement initiatives that align with the company’s goals and enhance the overall employee experience.

    Employee Engagement and Satisfaction

  • Design and lead engagement programs to boost employee morale and satisfaction.

  • Conduct regular surveys, focus groups, and feedback sessions to understand employee needs and concerns.

  • Analyze survey results and recommend action plans to address identified issues.

    Onboarding and Orientation

  • Partner with the Learning and Development team regarding ongoing improvements to the orientation program.

  • Determine the touchpoints for new hires.

  • Monitor and continuously improve the onboarding experience based on feedback and best practices.

  • Manage the onboarding analytics.

    Communication and Culture

  • Foster open and transparent communication within the organization.

  • Develop and manage internal communication strategies and channels.

  • Organize and oversee company events, workshops, and team-building activities to strengthen the company culture.

  • Manage EE communications and partner with the communications team.

    Recognition and Reward Programs

  • Develop and implement recognition and reward programs that celebrate employee achievements and milestones.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure these programs align with company values and objectives.

  • Continuously assess and improve recognition initiatives to keep them fresh and engaging.

    Performance Management

  • Assist in developing performance management systems that encourage and recognize high performance.

  • Ensure performance reviews are conducted regularly and effectively.

    Data Management and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of all employee experience initiatives and feedback.

  • Prepare detailed reports on employee engagement, satisfaction, and other relevant metrics.

  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on data analysis.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.

  • 4 years’ experience; A minimum of 2 years of experience in employee engagement, HR, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.

    SALARY AND BENEFITS:

    The pay range for this position is $106,000 –$159,000.

    This position is classified as regular. Regular staff are eligible for NORC’s comprehensive benefits program. Benefits include, but are not limited to:
