Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Healthcare/NHS industry, based in the Midwest. As a Sr. Accountant, you will play a crucial role in financial analysis and balance sheet reconciliation. You will also be tasked with process standardization and problem-solving with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
• Conducting thorough financial analysis as part of the accounting function.
• Carrying out extensive balance sheet reconciliations.
• Standardizing reconciliation processes and formats to improve efficiency.
• Investigating and sourcing supporting documentation as required.
• Utilizing advanced spreadsheet skills for data management and analysis.
• Leveraging prior experience with software like Peoplesoft, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.
• Ensuring the General Ledger is accurate and up-to-date.
• Preparing and posting accurate journal entries.
• Conducting account reconciliations to maintain accurate records.
• Managing the month-end closure process.
Requirements
• Candidate must have a strong proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial discrepancies are promptly identified and resolved.
• Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required, as this role involves the regular review and adjustment of the company's financial statements.
• The applicant needs to have a solid background in Bank Reconciliations, ensuring the company's bank statements align with its financial records.
• Proficiency in managing the General Ledger is necessary as the role involves recording and reviewing all financial transactions.
• The candidate should have the ability to prepare and review Journal Entries, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, as the role involves managing and analyzing large sets of financial data.
• Potential hires need to have experience in Month End Close processes, ensuring all financial activities are accurately recorded and reported at the end of each month.
• Experience in using NetSuite is required, as this role involves managing and analyzing financial data using this software.
