This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity in the Healthcare/NHS field.

Major responsibilities

• Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

• Work with external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing

• Implement monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

• Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners

• Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Prepare reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts

• Complete other projects as required

• Take part in various department-wide initiatives

• Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  Requirements - 3+ years of overall general accounting experience

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• Audit Prep experience highly preferred

• Earlier work involving Monthly Financial Reports

• Account reconciliation experience

• Adeptness in bank reconciliations

• Background working with reporting

• General familiarity with Accounting Software Systems

• Practical knowledge of Ad Hoc Reporting

• Month end closings experience desired

• Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience

• Good understanding of Fixed Asset Records

• Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting procedures

• Account reconciliation experience highly desired

• Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience

• Experience with ERP systems

• Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Ability to work well with functional department managers

• Strong organization skills

• Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner

• Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

• Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
