JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer Lead (Python or .Net) in Chicago, Illinois

JPMC SPG Technology is building up a new team within Tax Oriented Investments. This is an exciting opportunity to participate and lead in the implementation of a streamlining our Energy Pricing models. The Energy business plays a key role in the bank to help support our green and sustainable investment initiatives. This position will require the desire to lead and direct a group of developers while building up our architecture for Python.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
* Ability to lead and direct a group of developers
* Full-stack proficiency with Python or .NET on back-end. Experience with React.js would be a plus.
* Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on engineering with above
Strong understanding of web development best practices including security, RESTful & micro-services frameworks.
Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages, specifically Python and Object Oriented Languages
Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
Passionate about building an innovative culture
Comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Able to work in a high paced environment
Eager to work with multiple teams, stake holders and business
Quick learner and proactive aptitude to support a professional collaborative environment
Preferred Skills:
Strong understanding of OOP & SOA principles, design patterns, industry best practices
Experience in cloud technologies such as AWS and Cloud Foundry is a plus
Experience in relational databases such as SQL, PostGres (a plus)
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
Good understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices
Experience working with Scrum/Agile methodologies
