This position may be located in Moline, IL or Chicago, IL per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.
John Deere is currently going through a Smart Industrial Redesign transformation. To support our journey, it takes a unique skill set. We recognize that may be available in the Chicagoland market. As a Success Factors Software Engineer with the John Deere Global IT Enterprise, you will operate within the IT HR Cloud Technology Agile team, and participate in all aspects of the team's work regarding software analysis, configuration, development, and testing.
Develop HR applications and system integrations
Configure and test SAP SuccessFactors modules such as Compensation and Employee Central
Participate in discussions with the Scrum and Product teams to develop technical solutions to satisfy business requirements related to HR Cloud Technology Configure and test SaaS systems including SAP SuccessFactors
Evaluate and implement solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications
Analyze assignments and determine software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives
Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs
Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation
Utilize agile methods and apply to SaaS configuration technology
4 or more years understanding of applications development environment, database, data management, and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
2 or more years experience in the design, development, testing, and integration of high complex software solutions in Java web development with Sprint and Restful APIs leveraging change management
1 or more years experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment
1 or more years experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery)
1 or more years understanding of full-stack design patterns and crafting loosely coupled architectures
2 or more years experience working with Test Driven Development and Unit Test Frameworks
Experience with integration technologies (Java or Python, REST APIs, shell scripts, ETL tools)
Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Willingness to initially work remote and travel up to 25% when the environment allows
2+ years’ experience implementing major software programs leveraging change management
Skilled in Azure or AWS Technology
Skilled in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, SAP SuccessFactors Compensation, or SAP Cloud Analytics.
Experience with SAP Cloud Integration
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
