Dunkin' Shift Leader in Chicago, Illinois

Reports To: Restaurant Manager

We are looking for Shift Leaders to join our Dunkin' team!

Shift Leaders are responsible for coaching Crew Members throughout their shift to execute operational Brand standards and deliver a great and friendly guest experience. They set goals, provide job assignments, and motivate others, celebrating successes and providing timely feedback.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all responsibilities of restaurant team members

  • Support the Restaurant Manager in meeting operational goals and execution

  • Ensure Brand standards are met throughout the shift including the preparation of food and beverages

  • Communicate shift priorities, goals, and results to restaurant team members

  • Support the training of restaurant team members as needed

  • Perform oversight of franchisee safety, security, and profitability policies/processes throughout a shift

  • Communicate clearly with the next Shift Leader to help prepare him/her for the shift

  • Ensure Food Safety standards are met

  • Manage Inventory throughout the shift

  • Provide great guest service and coaches restaurant team members to do the same

  • Schedule restaurant team members for shifts

Team Environment:

  • Support a respectful team environment

  • Communicate shift priorities, goals, and results with team members

  • Support the training of crew members as requested

  • Provide coaching and feedback to crew members

Operational Excellence:

  • Create and maintain a guest-first culture in the restaurant

  • Resolve guest issues

  • Ensure Brand standards, recipes, and systems are executed

  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing safety, food safety, and sanitation guidelines; comply with local and state laws

Profitability:

  • Drive sales goals and results

  • Execute restaurant standards and marketing initiatives

  • Manage cash over/short during shift

  • Ensure all products are prepared according to Brand standards

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English

  • Spanish speaking in addition to English is a preference

  • Restaurant, retail, or supervisory experience

  • Math and writing skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • At least 18 years of age (where applicable)

  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
