\"THE OPPORTUNITY:*Open to remote candidates residing in the United States and Canada*\ The Senior Java Developer helps bring our product concepts and designs to life. This individual will collaborate as a leader with multidisciplinary teams, engaging with product managers, UX and UI designers, software engineers, and QA analysts to deliver features and products that help our customers do their jobs better. The candidate should be well-versed in software technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and JPA. A keen eye for detail, creative thinking, exceptional problem-solving, and excellent communication skills are essential when working with our product team and fellow software engineers to bring product requirements to life.\ PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Development and support of all products including the VelocityEHS website and customer Intranet applications.\ Development and support of internal applications to assist sales order management and customer support processes.\ Participate in meetings and contribute to the establishing priorities, timelines, and requirements for said projects.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

You have 4+ years\' experience developing enterprise solutions on an Agile team\ 1+ years\' experience mentoring other developers through code reviews, documentation, and technical guidance.\ You effectively bring product requirements to life through excellent communication skills with product teams and fellow developers.\ You understand customer needs and possess strong business acumen. You create realistic timelines for projects and balance competing priorities.\ You foster an environment for honest and open discussion of all issues. You involve the right people, from your team and others, to resolve critical issues.\ You work with cross-functional teams including business analysts, UI/UX designers, software developers, and QA analysts.\ Your technical skills include advanced working experience with:

Java (11+) and Spring Boot\ Relational databases\ Cloud architecture (preferably AWS)\ API design and development (preferably GraphQL)\ Containers (preferably Docker)\ Java unit testing frameworks (preferably JUnit).

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

2+ years development in a SAAS environment including microservices\ Advanced knowledge of API structures/calls, preferably GraphQL\ Experience with JavaScript or JS libraries, preferably Reac\ Intermediate/Advanced Cloud/Container experience, preferably in AWS\ Intermediate knowledge of PostgreSQL\ Intermediate knowledge of CI/CD, Software Development Lifecycle including unit testing
