HUB’s Customer Service professionals provide critical support to our customers through account management, claims management, day-to-day client oversight, and underwriting services that make us a leading sales and service organization in the insurance industry. AVMA National Practices Senior Account Manager Role:

This Senior Account Manager manages a book of insurance business deeply rooted in the veterinary industry, with middle market clients growing through a combination of mergers and acquisitions and/or de novo locations.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Works closely with Producers and other HUB personnel on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewals, while adhering to HUB’s best practices and standard procedures. 

  • Handles preparation and implementation of all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts with support from account management team

  • Appropriately documents transactions with clients and carrier representatives, and updates broker management systems as required.

  • Manages and grows book of business revenue utilizing all of HUB’s capabilities and value added services.

  • Acquires understanding of clients’ insurance objectives and critically analyzes and compares insurance plans to determine suitability. 

  • Leads client servicing interaction and participates in/conducts meetings with support of producers

  • Stays abreast of changes in the industry and other external conditions that may impact their clients and makes appropriate recommendations to clients accordingly

  • Responsible for overall retention of accounts in assigned book of business.

  • Travels on company business when necessary

  • Prepares reports for management as required

Required Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience and demonstrated proficiency in a Middle Market Insurance Account Management role handling property and casualty lines of business

  • Experience with high deductible and/or loss-sensitive workers’ compensation programs

  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively with account team to deliver HUB services to clients

  • Ability to resolve complex service and billing issues requiring commercial policy interpretation and experience based judgment

  • Ability to negotiate directly with carriers

  • Ability to support and mentor lower-level colleagues as necessary

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Ability to utilize and be proficient in broker management systems (Applied EPIC experience preferred)

  • Strong organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills

  • High level attention to detail

  • Currently licensed in good standing in required lines and states

  • Current with all necessary CE credits in required lines and states

  • Advanced professional designation highly desirable (e.g. AAI, ARM, CIC)
