The Role
The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for designing and building best of class security controls across enterprise cloud infrastructure, platforms, and software applications (IaaS, PasS, SaaS, etc) primarily in service of the protection of sensitive data.
This role reports directly to the CISO and exists within the information security team. It involves close coordination with key members of the cloud and IT teams, as well as other key stakeholders.
Day to Day Activities Include:
Designing and executing on architecture plans, and bringing engineering solutions to reality with a DevSecOps mindset & culture
Working closely with stakeholders to gather technical requirements, architect solutions and execute on deliverables
Collaborating with various stakeholders in multiple technical disciplines: including developers, subject matter experts, administrators, infrastructure engineers and architects to support existing and implement new secure systems and security solutions
Collaborating with development teams to ensure that security is - 7baked into- 7 the product development efforts.
Designing, building, operating, and maintaining a data protection/data loss prevention practice
Performing industry research on new security protocols and methodologies
Serving as a technical advisor to colleagues and management concerning the planning, development, design, procurement, maintenance, and implementation of security for client and internal systems
Mentoring team members and colleagues in information systems cloud security best practices
Helping to build and configure plans, code pipelines and automated solutions that can be re-used and/or scale.
Monitoring and evaluating audit and compliance industry trends and third-party tools
Acting as a core member of the Security Team.
Qualifications
Several years of experience relevant to mCase product development and/or implementation.
Experience and understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Automation, and Orchestration
Experience deploying web and service-based applications in Windows/Linux environments
Working knowledge of a configuration management tool
Configuration and maintenance of common applications and protocols (Azure Resource Templates, JavaScript Frameworks (Angular), RESTful APIs, JSON and XML formats, etc)
Understanding of microservices (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
Demonstrated product knowledge and strong attention to detail
Application security mindset
Preferred Qualifications
3- B years of hands-on experience migrating customers to the cloud and designing DevOps operational processes
Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and/or Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) products
Experience with monitoring tools (Microsoft Operations Management Suite), and certificates & SSL management
Working knowledge of IP networking, VPN- 7s, DNS, load balancing, WAFs and other cloud detection/protection systems, NAT, and packet filtering
Experience with US government compliance frameworks (HIPAA, FISMA/FedRAMP, MARS-E, IRS Pub1075, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, etc) & working through the ATO/ATC process
Bachelor'2019s degree - B certifications, technical training, or other audit and compliance relevant work experience
