Cabrera Capital Markets, LLC Programming Analyst in Chicago, Illinois
Cabrera Capital Markets is seeking a Programming Analyst to join a dynamic team of professionals and be responsible for the development and maintenance of software applications for the firm's financial operations. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and growing team of seasoned financial professionals who are passionate about providing superior client service and value. Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain software applications in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to create and implement innovative solutions
Manage and organize large datasets to facilitate efficient data processing
Support the firm's information technology infrastructure by maintaining existing applications and systems
Analyze system and program requirements for complex projects. Identifies multiple solutions to complex problems
Analyze business processes and recommend improvements to automate and streamline operational workflow internally
Participate in coding, testing, and debugging of new and existing software to ensure smooth deployment
Document software development processes and procedures to ensure continuity and consistency
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology
All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline, computer science, information systems, or a related field of study
2+ years of experience in software development with a focus on finance
Strong proficiency with Python programming language and a familiarity with SQL and relational databases
Must have excellent Excel capabilities (i.e. – VBA/Macros)
Experience with data cleansing, transformation and preparation
Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of financial markets and trading systems is preferred
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
