Key Responsibilities:

Within this Product Manager role at Technical Operation Supply Chain team in United Airlines, you will be responsible for multiple digital technology projects impacting Technical Operation. United’s Technical Operations team is one of the largest Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organizations in the world. Our team continually innovates to deliver digital solutions to support this complex, dynamic operation. You will be responsible for strategy and planning, maintaining the team roadmap, managing work intake, and ensuring the team delivers on commitments effectively and efficiently.

  • Analyze and define efficient, cost-effective solutions to support company objectives, dept objectives, business processes and functional requirements

  • Define and communicate the roadmap for services within your domain

  • Ensure the roadmap supports company objectives and aligns with company priorities

  • Interact with business partners, enterprise project teams, and channel teams to understand their needs and priorities

  • Conduct and participate in the analysis of business processes and functional requirements

  • Prepare appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information

  • Review and validate QA test plans

  • Support the QA team during test execution

  • Maintain capacity management plans for the team, ensuring roadmaps align with team capacity

  • Monitor progress of deliverables, keep dependent teams and projects informed on progress

  • Take corrective action if deliverable cannot be met or if higher priorities disrupt prior commitments

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business related field and/or equivalent work experience

  • Experience working with cross-functional, global teams to deliver commitments on-time and on-budget

  • 5+ years of software product management

  • Solid knowledge of product management best practices, functional design and application delivery methodology

  • Knowledge of methodologies, tools and techniques for specific products; ability to develop product line processes and strategies

  • Strong multi-tasker, proven experience handling multiple roles and projects simultaneously

  • Excellent analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong planning & organizational skills

  • Strong communication skills - verbal, written and presentation

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Vision, and TFS

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experienced with both agile and waterfall

  • Knowledge of project management methodology and some project management

  • Aviation industry knowledge
