Key Responsibilities:
The Portfolio Project Manager's primary responsibility is to oversee multiple projects within a portfolio, ensuring their alignment with department strategic objectives. This entails close collaboration with partners and senior leadership to prioritize projects, manage resources, and secure the successful delivery of project outcomes. The role demands strong leadership, organizational adeptness, and the ability to navigate intricate project environments.
Work with senior leaders to define portfolio strategy and ensure it aligns with the department's objectives
Evaluate portfolio and provide recommendations on areas for improvement in project and financial management, core support, and release management
Monitor portfolio performance, manage risks, and optimize resource allocation
Allocation of resources efficiently across the portfolio, identify resource bottlenecks, and propose solutions to maintain project timelines
Track financial performance across the projects, ensuring cost control
Report on Financial metrics and adjust plans to achieve the financial targets
Establish and maintain governance structures for portfolio management for the department
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree required
4+ years of related experience
Proven experience in managing large-scale projects in Cloud and Platform Engineering
Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving skills
Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams
Financial savvy and experience managing budgets
Ability to thrive in project environments that often start with uncertain requirements or outcomes
Ability to put definition and structure around problems and projects
Strong organization skills and strong attention to detail
Outstanding writing, communication, and presentation skills
Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Must be a team focused individual
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
Master's degree or equivalent experience
Project Management (PMI) Certification (Preferred)
Agile or Scrum certification highly desirable
Job Post Expiration date: 3/31/2025
The base pay range for this role is $99,750.00 to $135,960.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
