Crate & Barrel Photo Studio Merchandise Lead in Chicago, Illinois

The Photo Studio Merchandise Lead will lead all projects requiring the merchandise management and logistics support for Crate and Barrel Holdings (CBH) Brands for our Marketing, Ecommerce, and B2B for US and international locations. They will also manage established processes and creatively adjust plans as needed to ensure all cross functional partners are meeting deadlines for all merchandise and/or deliveries.

This is an on-site position based out of our Chicago, Illinois Photo Studio

A day in the life as a Photo Studio Merchandise Lead…

  • Plan merchandise and logistics needs for CBH photo shootsPartner with merchandising teams to ensure product availability and appropriate usage

  • Manage projects including product and shipping budgetsExecute product and logistics processes between cross functional partners as well as internal and external customers

  • Utilize support from internal resources and third party vendors to execute projects for both customers and CBH

  • Establish deadlines and assess potential costs and risk for each project while confirming product availability

  • Own the execution of all product and logistical deliverables including planning and communications

  • Manage shifting schedules and adjust deadlines to fulfill needs

  • Establish appropriate processes to accommodate creative and operational objectives for each project

  • Develop a strong knowledge base of products through all brands and allow for creative suggestions

  • Ensure all inventory is allocated to each project in advance and support all communications surrounding these projects

  • Understand internal systems, processes, and procedures for all warehouses/cross-docks, Transportation, Home Delivery, Merchandising and Retail requirements

  • Have an understanding of product knowledge for photography, product availability, and how it’s packaged for logistics estimates

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field preferred

  • 3 years relevant experience working in fast paced environment

  • 3 years experience leading a team preferred

  • Knowledge with Google Suite

  • Knowledge with MS Office Suites - Intermediate Excel knowledge preferred (Vlookups, Pivot Tables)

  • Experience with stockroom equipment and tools such as SKU and tagger guns, small hand tools, ladders, step stools, hand truck, dolly, baler and pallet jack

  • Able to lift up to 65Lbs

  • Able to travel up to 25% of the year
