We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs a team of analysts responsible for the process and execution of staffing requirements for a segment of airports located both domestic and internationally using various planning tools and techniques to deliver appropriate staffing levels across the enterprise

  • Leader will compile and review long range forecast for labor requirements monthly and prepare annual labor budget in partnership with Finance counterparts

  • Leads team in process and execution of long-term and short-term staffing strategies, models and forecast for airport operations direct labor and Management resources

  • Monthly close and forecast, variance analysis, FTE variance versus flight stat changes

  • Prepares long range forecasting and financial close statements for labor requirements across Airport Operations

  • Leads shift and vacation bid strategy and execution for hubs and line stations

  • Leads investments and initiatives for labor requirements in preparation for budget and schedule period cycles

  • Review of labor financial reports that align with the division budget roll up

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Management

  • 3+ years in planning role

  • Knowledge of diverse planning techniques (resource, financial and/or operational)

  • Knowledge of modeling tools and requirements

  • Knowledge of flight schedule variations and high-level flight statistics

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

  • Team leadership and development ability

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master's degree in business administration

  • Inform and Ground Star Planning experience

  • Hyperion and EPM experience

  • Experience with staffing/financial modeling

  • Managerial experience

The base pay range for this role is $99,750.00 to $135,960.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
