Overview

The Manager on this team will be pivotal in assisting client teams to convert raw data into valuable insights by developing and maintaining data infrastructure and analytics solutions. The role is also tasked with managing and supporting our clients on our data platforms. Additionally, the person in this role builds and manages reports, dashboards, visualizations on our data platforms. The person will work closely with all internal stakeholders like the Advanced Analytics, Investment and Planning teams in designing and implementing insightful data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Data Modeling/Data Preparation

  • Design, develop, and maintain data models as part of client data strategy using Visio

  • Write SQL to access data from data sources

  • Write processes using scripting languages like Python to efficiently integrate data from diverse sources into reporting data marts

  • Develop and maintain scalable and efficient data models to support analytical needs, ensuring data is organized, consistent, and accessible using tools like Prep Builder or working with Engineers on more complex implementation

  • Reporting and Visualization:

  • Create and manage reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Dataroma to provide actionable insights to business stakeholders

  • Work with database connections like Microsoft SQL Server, Azure, Postgres SQL

  • Collaboration:

  • Work closely with data analysts, Engineers, reporting analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate business requirements into technical specifications

  • Work regularly with our stakeholders to appraise them of our latest capabilities and implement those to elevate client success

  • Data Quality and Governance:

  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data sources. Support data governance practices and compliance initiatives on our BI platform

  • Optimize database queries and ETL processes to improve overall system performance and data processing speed

  • Education and Support

  • Document data processes, technical specifications, architecture, and data models to ensure clarity and support future maintenance and development

  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues within BI solutions, ensuring high availability and reliability of data and reporting systems

Required Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong skills in SQL for querying and manipulating relational databases

  • Data Modeling using MS Visio

  • Experience with Tableau Prep Builder and/or Allteryx

  • Proficiency in BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI or Looker or Dataroma

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, R for data manipulation and automation

  • Knowledge with TabPy, Pandas and NumPy preferred

  • Analytical Thinking:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and deliver clear insights

  • Experience in structured and unstructured problem-solving

  • Communication:

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to non-technical stakeholders

  • Project Management

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Jira Issue Management System (preferred but not required)

  • Demonstrated experience in independently managing small-mid size projects and manage time effectively

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Background in Media Performance measurement and Reporting Preferred

  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis, BI development, or a related field

  • Familiarity with data governance, and industry best practices is beneficial

The benefits offerings listed are available to U.S. based employees, are reviewed on an annual basis, and are governed by the terms of the applicable plan documents.

Compensation Range: $ $87,210 - $125,265 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
