S u mmary:

The MAI Application Project Manager is responsible for delivering new enterprise capabilities to acquired firms. The MAI Application Project Manager oversees all aspects of M&A Technology integration projects and ensures on-time and in-scope delivery, creating technical estimates, work plans, schedule of deliverables for a portfolio of projects. Additionally, the role identifies and gathers pertinent information and requirements, considering alternatives, and making timely and accurate recommendations.

This position reports into Chicago and can be based anywhere in the U.S and Canada.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manages scope, schedule, and internal and external staffing resources for M&A technical integration projects from conception through delivery

  • Drives multiple concurrent integration project schedules, prioritizing tasks, reporting on critical gaps, and assess and mitigate risks

  • Leads in technical assessment, scoping and management of changes to Application configuration based on new business requirements, product enhancements & upgrades.

  • Clearly articulates and communicates technical concerns/ requirements to non-technical business staff.

  • Collaborates with technical team to produce high quality, maintainable and scalable software.

  • Maintains Enterprise Application standards

  • Provides insight and guidance across multiple software products identifying areas of functional overlap

  • Provides leadership, coaching and direction to the software engineers/administrators.

  • Manages cross-functional teams, influencing key stakeholders, across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field strongly preferred. In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, an equivalent amount of relevant work experience will be considered.

  • 4+ years’ experience managing a broker management system.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to senior leaders.

  • Willingness to grow and share knowledge with others on the team

  • Demonstrated experience leading projects from inception to delivery

  • Capable of leading and contributing to technical discussions

  • Experience in one or more of the following insurance lines is preferred: P&C, Employee Benefits, Specialty Retail, Retirement and Private Wealth, 401k Pension Benefits, or MGA / MGU / Wholesale Experience working in a fast-paced M&A technical/systems integration environment

  • Prior experience in business systems implementation, application integration, or infrastructure conversion projects is a plus

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado, California and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 to $125,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
