Job Summary

The Equipment Finance Onboarding Manager leads a team that works closely with equipment finance sales, customers, bankers, risk, legal and others, to onboard (document, fund and book) equipment finance transactions. Equipment Finance Onboarding, a team within Equipment Finance Operations in Wholesale Lending, is responsible for processing syndicated and bilateral leases and loans for the Private, Corporate Investment and Commercial Banks. You'll manage Documentation, Booking and Support Specialists to effectively work across sales, risk and operations to execute Equipment Finance transactions for Commercial and Private Bank clients. You'll drive the short and long term priorities that support the broader Equipment Finance strategic plan. You'll lead production while supporting transformation initiatives as the business evolves. This position requires someone that is willing and able to take an established framework and build the team's domain expertise of product offerings. Equipment Finance operations team locations include Columbus, Chicago, Tempe, Charlotte and Manila.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the onboarding of Equipment Finance loan and lease transactions across our Government, Hospital, Higher Education, Not for Profit, CORE, Specialty and Syndications segments.

  • Provide ongoing oversight of team members' work to ensure data quality and accuracy is maintained according to policies and procedures and in close partnership with Quality Control.

  • Create synergies and foster partnerships across the Onboarding sites, with Equipment Finance operations, including our global operations team, sales and bankers, legal and asset team, structuring and underwriting officers to effectively manage pipeline workflow and Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence.

  • Act as productivity and efficiency champion for the process; Promote a culture that fosters continuous improvement, encourages new ideas & empowers the team to execute on them.

  • Establish, communicate and manage to key performance metrics and provide updates to senior management.

  • Ensure an audit ready team by maintaining an effective controls framework and self-identifying any potential risk areas.

  • Develop talent within the onboarding team through training, coaching and ongoing support through regular one on one meetings, objective discussions and performance evaluation discussions.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum of years management experience, Minimum of 8 years banking experience or equivalent.

  • Experience in Commercial lending transactions & loan documentation.

  • Skilled in handling client issues and problem resolution in a high volume, fast paced environment.

  • Strong influencing and communication skills with all levels of stakeholders, building strong partnership with various teams to help deliver results.

  • Relevant process management experience analyzing as-is business processes, mapping process flows, analyzing and recommending improvements to processes and implementing them using various industry standard practices and tools.

  • Ability to lead in a continuous change and agile business environment.

  • Inclusive, supportive leadership with the ability to collaborate across functional teams; lead across boundaries and realize the benefits of a globally diverse workforce.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Equipment Finance documentation or transaction management; knowledge of appropriate due diligence for loan & lease documentation and perfection of collateral.

  • Sound understanding of project management and quality methodologies.

  • Proficient in developing procedures and training solutions.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
