Overview of Position:

The HRIS Analyst will be instrumental in supporting HUB's HCM business processes by utilizing their expertise in Workday and related HR technologies. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the efficient operation, configuration, and ongoing enhancement of the Workday Human Capital Management System, aligning with the needs of both our employees and the business. This hands-on position requires in-depth knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), with a particular emphasis on Workday, and experience in other HR functions, such as Payroll, Benefits, Time & Absence, and Compensation. Additionally, this role will serve as a technical point of contact and subject matter expert for assigned functional areas, ensuring operational efficiency, data integrity, thorough testing of system changes, and the analysis of data flows to identify process improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support for Workday configuration and solution design, with a strong emphasis on security and reporting.

  • Manage Workday release activities: review release summaries, lead breakout sessions with COEs, oversee release testing, and identify enhancement opportunities and impacts on downstream systems.

  • Stay informed of current HRMS trends, focusing on product and service development, delivery, and support, and apply relevant technologies.

  • Recommend process improvements, innovative solutions, and policy updates to enhance customer service.

  • Evaluate, build, and maintain all aspects of HRIS systems, including but not limited to Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Absence, HCM, Performance & Talent.

  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests across the organization.

  • Drive innovation and process improvements to support long-term human resources goals.

  • Document standard processes and procedures; create user guides and checklists for functional practitioners.

  • Respond to and resolve HRIS tickets promptly.

  • Provide technical support and act as a subject matter expert, educating system end-users on navigation and usage as needed.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation.

  • Train new system users and develop user procedures, job aids, guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., Information Systems, Human Resources, or Business) is required, OR

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in an HRIS analyst role with configuration expertise in one or more Workday modules, including HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Attendance, and Performance & Talent Management.

  • Workday Partner or Pro Certification is preferred.

  • 1+ years of Workday consulting and/or implementation experience is preferred.

  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and present data effectively.

  • Strong communication skills are crucial, as this role involves frequent interaction with various levels of leadership and requires the ability to assess both expressed and unexpressed needs to gather proper requirements.

  • Customer service orientation with a professional, friendly demeanor at all times.

  • Solution-oriented mindset with solid business acumen.

  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Proven ability to identify and resolve problems promptly and effectively.

  • Insurance industry experience is an asset.

  • Experience with change management is a plus.
