Global Director, Digital Marketing - Remote - Any US office

The Global Director of Digital Marketing will lead the digital marketing transformation, driving the planning, development and activation of new digital strategies and capabilities with the goal of increasing awareness of ADM’s full pantry. They will drive engagement and generate leads. Reporting to the VP of Global Marketing Excellence, the Global Director of Digital Marketing will closely collaborate with the leaders of integrated marketing communications, customer experience and market and consumer insights. He/she will also work cross-functionally with key Marketing business stakeholders, IT teams, digital transformation business leaders and external agency partners across all regions and B2B/B2C businesses.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in leadership, with a hands-on approach to educating and managing direct reports and cross-functional teams. You are an excellent communicator who can gather information from multiple stakeholders to create a shared marketing vision to support our organizational goals. You are a self-starter with the ability to pivot between leading the strategy and driving the execution of digital marketing plans. You have strong experience integrating marketing programs into a complex website ecosystem, including strategically merging/managing multiple websites in partnership with agencies and IT teams. We are looking for a team player who can lead projects, nurturing internal talent as they go.

This position is based in Chicago with 5 days per week in office at Chicago or Oak Brook headquarters

Responsibilities include:

  • Builds and drives ADM’s digital marketing strategy, roadmap, and activation plan, collaborating with stakeholders to align on campaign objectives across multiple categories and regions.

  • Leads the development and execution of digital marketing deliverables and global workstreams, including website evolution, SEO, Paid Search, Analytics, Marketing automation and lead generation tactics

  • Directs and mentors the Marketing teams to determine most effective digital tactics and channels to achieve engagement goals and lead acquisition and conversion across the customer journey, as part of the overall integrated marketing campaigns plans and process

  • Builds and grows ADM’s digital talent by developing strategic staffing plans for your department.

  • Drives cross-discipline integration and collaboration among key internal stakeholders (Marketing Business, sales, IT) to develop and execute annual digital marketing roadmap

  • Manages agency partner relationships by developing scopes of work, evaluating agency performance and ensuring resources and staffing plans support ADM’s business unit needs

  • Monitors performance and develops action items to ensure ADM is tracking to meet and exceed identified targets.

  • Proactively identifies opportunities for processes optimization and ways to deliver more effective and efficient solutions

  • Remains at the forefront of digital marketing trends, always looking for new and innovative digital marketing capabilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital communication, or a related field; MBA is preferred.

  • 15+ years of experience developing results-oriented digital marketing capabilities for a global organization, within global web agencies and / or digital marketing consulting firms

  • 10+ years in working at a digital agency or managing a digital agency partner, including developing scope of work agreements, budget management, efficient decision making, management of the execution

  • Experience in working with a global team is important, prior experience in B2B is required; prior experience in the food and beverage industry is a bonus.

  • Proven ability to build relationships, collaborate effectively and lead by influence at varying levels of the organization

  • Experience in leading a blended team of internal, external, and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Superior strategic thinking, problem solving and innovative mindset. Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments related to the role

  • Passionate about talent development and managing a diverse and inclusive team

  • Marketing, consulting, transformation background

  • Excellent educational and communication skills to train and empower stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and convert strategy into plans and actions that drive growth

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leaders and coaching and developing talents within the team

Key digital skills:

  • Demand Generation Digital Marketing strategy and planning: set the vision

  • ion and objectives, KPIs and targets, web marketing levers to use as part of integrated marketing communications, roadmap

  • Website evolution, UX/UI

  • E-commerce experience

  • Expertise in data analytics and performance marketing

  • Expertise in SEO, SEM

  • Expertise with Marketing Automation, Pardot/Salesforce, lead scoring and routing

  • Account Based marketing

  • Content marketing experience
