Generator Systems Installation and Commissioning Project Manager

Opportunity

Support Kohler Power Systems Data Center direct business by providing Construction Project Management services for the installation, testing, and commissioning of Kohler Power Systems supplied genset and related equipment for data center direct customers. Assure compliance with regulations, Kohler Power Systems standards and customer defined project goals and objectives. Manage the implementation, cost, schedule, and quality of the installation with the support of Kohler distributors and 3rd party vendors.

Specific Responsibilities

•Oversee the on-site commissioning and start-up activities of Kohler Generators and related equipment.

•Contribute to the development of test and commissioning documents for Kohler supplied equipment.

•Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors and distributors during the installation and commissioning phase for assigned projects, escalating challenges to senior team members.

•Provide technical guidance on Kohler generator products.

•Collaborate with contractors and distributors to optimize installation of Kohler generator solutions.

•Efficiently coordinate activities involving third-party vendors.

•Assist in resolving project-related issues and challenges.

•Prepare and deliver project status reports to stakeholders.

•Maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Skills/Requirements

•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

•Experience in the testing and installation of generators a plus.

•A minimum of five years’ experience in project management or engineering role and working with product lines of similar technical complexity.

•Electrical power, electrician, generator, or reciprocating engine experience desired.

•Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Position is action oriented requiring the incumbent to creatively plan and execute the installation, testing, and commissioning of Kohler supplied products with limited resources.

Travel

Up to 60% travel across the US and Canada.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $83,300 - $105,200. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
