Summary:

The Corporate Treasury Funding Desk is seeking a Funding and Collateral Manager with relevant liquidity/trading experience, preferably within a large banking organization. Reporting to the Head of Funding, the individual will be a senior member of the Funding Desk, supporting key initiatives related to strategic collateral management and funding execution and optimization. This highly visible role provides for significant interaction with senior management, lines of business, and various internal and external stakeholders. Exceptional understanding of funding channels and collateral optimization concepts, attention to detail, ability to manage projects with regulatory and internal Risk engagement, as well as communication abilities are key to this role. Responsibilities to Include:

  • Develop and direct firm-wide collateral management strategic initiatives in accordance with Huntington’s Enterprise Collateral Management Policy, including with respect to repo/reverse repo monetization channels, expansion/optimization of secured funding sources, collateralized deposits, and other business-related directives

  • Interface with counterparties, including FHLB Cincinnati, FRB Cleveland, and broker-dealers as it relates to collateral pledging and funding channels

  • Partner with Treasury Capital Markets to direct repo/reverse repo execution

  • Generate ideas/identify opportunities and execute on certain unsecured wholesale funding actions (FHLB/BCDs/Repo/etc)

  • Partner with Treasury Operations to further develop and enhance collateral reporting useability and streamline collateral management process flows. Guide enhancements to monitoring and management of collateral

  • Interact regularly with Lines of Businesses and Operations groups that generate and/or use loan and securities collateral to assess new business initiatives and maximize the liquidity value of collateral for the firm

  • Consistently assess industry best-practices and stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and potential future updates to regulatory liquidity and collateral frameworks. Stay abreast of changes to collateral eligibility and haircuts and assess related implications to Huntington

  • Work alongside, and in close coordination with, the Reserve and Intraday Liquidity team to manage and optimize Huntington’s cash position.

  • Develop additional intraday collateral management capabilities, particularly as it relates to intraday liquidity risk and contingency funding planning

  • Prepare reporting and analysis for internal use as well as externally with relevant regulatory bodies

  • Regularly participate in meetings with Senior Management, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and other key stakeholders

    Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of Corporate Treasury experience with trade execution-related exposure

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an applicable field (Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • Experience with SQL and/or relational databases

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing priorities

  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to bring outcomes forward and clearly summarize complex business problems and detailed analyses for senior management

  • Sense of curiosity and drive to learn and develop in a growing Treasury organization

  • Familiarity with key bank funding products
