Skyline Products Field Service Engineer in Chicago, Illinois
The Field Service Engineer is an integral part of the Skyline Products Inc. team. This team member will provide customer support, testing and field repair on LED and scroll style gas price signs, electronic dynamic message signs and traffic control systems. Skyline Products is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated experienced individual who will represent the company in a highly professional, and customer-centric manner.

Skyline Products is looking for someone with experience in a customer facing technical field role that will represent the company in a highly professional manner and serve our customer base.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Travel to customer sites to perform onsite installation, testing and troubleshooting of dynamic message sign systems located on interstates, local roads, and/or gas stations
Coordinate, manage and complete assigned project work orders in a timely manner
Write routine trip reports, test result reports, feedback reports to engineering and correspondence
Communicate frequently and effectively with both internal and external customers
Facilitate on-site or remote training sessions
QUALIFICATIONS
Team oriented, able to work well with coworkers
Excellent customer interfacing and communication skills
Minimum of three years of experience in basic electronics
Equivalent military technical training and experience
Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in electronics preferred
Experience in the use of multimeters measuring AC and DC voltage
Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Proficient with MS Office
Basic networking and Linux/Unix command line experience is a plus
Availability to travel up to 75% to customer sites; able to travel on short notice
Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
Ability to perform in cold, noisy, stressful environments
Able to work from a bucket truck at heights up to 30 feet
Must possess a valid driver’s license
