Conagra Engineering Project Leader in Chicago, Illinois
Reporting to the Director of Platform Engineering you will coordinate single or multiple Small to Medium capital projects that often require inter-disciplinary engineering teams of 2 – 5 engineers and cross functional partners. Manage all aspects of project safety, scope development, cost estimates, regular cost forecasts and schedule by collaborating both within the engineering and with cross functional partners in a matrix organization. You will manage external and internal resources and influencing cross-functional stakeholders resolving issues and managing conflict.
Responsibilities include:
Travel is required to company and co-manufacturer manufacturing plants, vendors, suppliers, engineering service providers, and any other sites required to implement projects. Travel will involve domestic and international.
Work with Plant Leadership positions and Supply Chain Functions
External interaction will include, however, not limited to, equipment vendors, construction contractors, engineering services contractors, local / state / federal government agencies, and co-manufacturing organizations.
Have demonstrated competency in both Engineering and Project Leadership
Manage a range of small to medium projects.
Complete assigned projects by using workflows with Innovation, Operations and Platform Groups.
Complete projects ensuring that the company’s needs and project goals are met.
Ensure that all project planning, deliverables, reporting, and spending forecasts are managed and that all projects are delivered within safety, cost, schedule and performance success criteria.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
5 years of direct industrial project leadership experience
Direct accountability for projects with a complexity of at least $1 million
Position location is at corporate office locations in Omaha or Chicago
Variable depending on project timing, but up to 50% to 70% travel
Remote location: East of Denver, CO and within reasonable proximity (50 miles) to a major airport

Compensation:
Annual Base Salary: $79,000.00 - $115,000.00
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
