Principal accountabilities:
Provide troubleshooting expertise in the areas of automation, electrical and instrumentation in support of the plant
Continuously gain knowledge and experience in automation, electrical and instrumentation
Investigate, design, write and complete projects that will improve productivity or process reliability
Provide programming and configuration expertise to support projects
Management of troubleshooting tools and documentation
Participate in Root Cause Analysis efforts and solutions
Design and configure control systems and oversee electrical and instrumentation functions related to projects
Provide training for completed projects
Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Basic computer skills
Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice
Ability to update and troubleshoot a range of electrical or instrumentation systems
Ability to read and analyze electrical schematics
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with control voltages, and/or PID loop controls, and/or 120/277/480v
Experience with safe work practices, such as Pre-Job Hazard Analysis (PJHA), confined spaces, job task permitting, etc.
Ability to understand continuous and batch process control strategies
Possess a working understanding of the production process
Ability to configure and program a variety of control systems including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and HMI systems
Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance, planning and scheduling
Automation, Electrical, and / or Instrumentation experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens
Design and implementation knowledge of plant digital business technologies
