Principal accountabilities:

  • Provide troubleshooting expertise in the areas of automation, electrical and instrumentation in support of the plant

  • Continuously gain knowledge and experience in automation, electrical and instrumentation

  • Investigate, design, write and complete projects that will improve productivity or process reliability

  • Provide programming and configuration expertise to support projects

  • Management of troubleshooting tools and documentation

  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis efforts and solutions

  • Design and configure control systems and oversee electrical and instrumentation functions related to projects

  • Provide training for completed projects

  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations

  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice

  • Ability to update and troubleshoot a range of electrical or instrumentation systems

  • Ability to read and analyze electrical schematics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with control voltages, and/or PID loop controls, and/or 120/277/480v

  • Experience with safe work practices, such as Pre-Job Hazard Analysis (PJHA), confined spaces, job task permitting, etc.

  • Ability to understand continuous and batch process control strategies

  • Possess a working understanding of the production process

  • Ability to configure and program a variety of control systems including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and HMI systems

  • Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance, planning and scheduling

  • Automation, Electrical, and / or Instrumentation experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens

  • Design and implementation knowledge of plant digital business technologies
