Position Summary

As a Consultant, you will serve as the project team’s specialist for a customer's spend management project ranging from business process design, program assessments, data analysis, optimization, or technology implementations. This is a unique opportunity for you, as a passionate and motivated individual, to serve as a strategic partner and spend management expert, helping clients optimize business processes and configure their spend management solutions. As a Consultant, your colleagues will look to you to provide continuous improvement ideas related to consulting excellence within Huron’s Spend Management team.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Huron requires a bachelor’s degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience

  • Experience in consulting, higher education, finance, or accounting

  • Relevant experience working on complex team-based engagements in a consulting organization or institution, focused on driving change for results

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of business strategy, operations and performance improvement, procurement, payables, sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, contract management or related experience, either in a consultative or substantial operational role

  • Proven ability to design and optimize business processes and to architect business processes across disparate organizations and systems

  • Experience with full cycle implementations and assessments, along with an understanding of procurement transformation and change management concepts

  • Experience leading requirements gathering sessions and translating them into customer objectives

  • Experience analyzing large data sets and generating recommendations accordingly

  • Experience working within a broader team of functional and technical colleagues working toward a common goal

  • Proven ability to work independently, drive projects to completion, respond to project risks, issue resolution, scope challenges and project delays

  • Ability to maintain project documentation utilizing Huron’s project delivery methodology

  • Support multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience communicating project economics, such as budgeted vs. actual hours needed for project completion or forecast accuracy

Qualifications:

  • US work authorization required

  • Flexible living locations (US or CAD)

  • Background knowledge of financial management with ERP Systems (Oracle, Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP, Ellucian Banner)

  • Working knowledge of JAGGAER, Coupa, or other packaged procurement and payable application (e.g. SAP Ariba)

  • Strong experience with the Microsoft Office suite

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% annually; work extended hours as necessary

The estimated base salary for this job is $100,000 - $125,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $112,000 - $147,500. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
