Job Description:

We are seeking a Director, Cyber Strategy and Analytics for an exciting opportunity to lead the future development of the McDonald’s cybersecurity strategy. You will implement the tools and processes designed to facilitate decision-making and improve performance and accountability through collection, analysis, and reporting of relevant performance-related data (e.g., analytics, KPIs, etc.). This data will support a formalized risk-based prioritization of security initiatives to define the McDonald’s cybersecurity strategy. Close partnerships with Global Technology, product teams, business teams, and global markets will be required to present relevant information that helps drive appropriate action to protect the McDonald’s environment.

Qualifications

Global Cyber Security (GCS) is the team that is ultimately responsible for the securing of McDonald’s information assets at a global level. The Director, Cyber Strategy and Analytics will lead a team of global professionals and will work with partners globally to oversee the collection of cybersecurity data and creation of cyber security metrics to report on the effectiveness of the cybersecurity program and products. This role must set high-level strategy and direction for those performing these daily activities and clear expectations, goals, and requirements that must be obtained as a measure of success. This position will work closely with cybersecurity experts, Global Technology teams, product teams, and business leaders to analyze and report on cybersecurity risk across McDonald’s and have a direct impact on the way we protect the McDonald’s brand.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analytics, dashboards, reports, market scorecards and overall program development.

  • Work with multi-functional teams to identify targeted security metrics that drive clear partner actions and demonstrate the value and effectiveness of the cybersecurity services.

  • Develop and operate the collection of key data from security technologies.

  • Design and deploy dashboards that meet the needs of various customer groups (markets, segments, product owners, etc.).

  • Evaluate security metrics to identify strategic improvements of GCS processes and services.

  • Prioritize strategic improvements to integrate the GCS vision into the daily business operations.

  • Assess the strategic and practical needs of McDonald’s globally to help ensure that the Company has world-class cybersecurity controls.

  • Establish continued improvement processes to enhance and optimize strategy and analytics capabilities.

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of a strategic program applying industry-leading practices and methodologies to support the achievement of short, medium, and long-term goals.

  • Develop clear direction for members of the Strategy and Analytics team and promote individual growth and development.

  • Effectively manage team financials, budgets, and resource planning.

The expected salary range for this role is $168,350 - $218,860

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we may also consider your experience, and other job-related factors.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields. Preference will be given to an MBA from an accredited university along with an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in technical area.

  • 3+ years of senior leadership (Sr. Manager or Director) experience with IT Security governance and risk management.

Desired skills:

  • Ability to interpret and understand ambiguous business needs and convey such issues to information security teams.

  • Good communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging to various levels of cybersecurity proficiency.

  • Experienced in key compliance and IT frameworks such as Payment Card Industry (PCI), Sarbanes-Oxley, SAS-70s, HIPAA, FERC/NERC, BITS, ISO27001, COBIT, VALIT, RISKIT.

  • Proficient with common reporting platforms (ex. PowerBI).

  • Familiarity with complex multinational companies and distributed business models.

  • Experience and willingness to lead a 24x7x365 team and work non regular hours.

  • Strong analytic skills to critically evaluate information gathered from various sources.

  • Proficient in technical writing and demonstrating various creative mechanisms to communicate to diverse audiences.

  • Strong ability to assess urgency and prioritization and make good decisions based upon situation circumstances.

  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, and PMP.
