Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Database Developer. You will be responsible for designing, testing, planning, implementing, protecting, operating, managing and maintaining databases.

Responsibilities:

• Must be based in the Chicagoland area.

• Design, develop, and maintain databases in a client/server environment.

• Analyze and determine informational needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, proposed manipulation, data flow and storage requirements, and data output and reporting capabilities.

• Design and manipulate database structures to accommodate evolving business needs.

• Ensure optimal performance of databases through fine-tuning, maintenance, and performance testing.

• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving database connectivity issues, and ensure security and integrity at all times.

• Prepare detailed reports and design specifications, providing recommendations for improvements and system performance refinements.

• Collaborate with developers regarding the use of data and applications related to databases.

  Requirements

• Must be based in the Chicagoland area.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related technical field.

• Proven work experience as a Database Developer or similar role.

• In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring).

• Proficiency in SQL, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, and other relational database solutions.

• Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and strong attention to detail.

• Good time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
