GCG Customer Support Representative - Chicago, IL in Chicago, Illinois

Overview

As our client base continues to expand, GCG is looking for a Customer Support Representative to support the Inside and Outside Sales team for our Connectivity and Network Solutions (CNS) division!

In this role, you will contribute to the team's success by providing best-in-class support to our sales team, entering customer orders and quotes into our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, logging customer activity in our CRM system (Salesforce), sourcing products and pricing, and providing customers with order statuses and shipment updates.

We welcome previous customer service experience but are happy to train applicants looking to grow their skills.

Work Schedule: 8 AM to 5 PM Central Time Mon-Fri

Location: 8550 W. Bryn Mawr Ave Chicago, IL

What you'll do

  • Enter customer quotes into our ERP system; obtain correct part numbers and pricing and ensure the correct accounts are used

  • Process customer orders over the phone, fax, email, and chat and advise customers on the status of their order using our CRM database to enter notes

  • Provide administrative support to ionside and outside sales staff

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Customers and Suppliers

What you'll bring

  • 3 to 4 years of previous in sales / customer support experience in a business-to-business sales environment

  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word)

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills

  • Strong attention to detail
