The Corporate Quality Engineer will work with the Quality Director to provide technical process support for production and engineering teams. This position shall:

• Support plants with statistical methods (e.g. SPC, DOE, capability studies) and execution of improvement projects
• Execute internal Quality Management System (QMS) audits across nine plants, support ISO 9001 audits, and support other certification efforts as necessary (e.g. GFSI, BRC)
• Assist plants with yield improvement projects and various training requirements

This position requires approximately 50% travel and is based in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Lead process improvement projects
• Support plant improvement efforts, as needed (e.g. improve QMS, documentation, problem solving capabilities)
• Execute internal audits, assist with preparations for external audits, and respond to compliance questionnaires
• Facilitate statistical process method training for plant leaders and floor personnel
• Provide analysis and report performance data for both plant and corporate levels
• Improve external quality performance (warranty costs, ppm) by partnering with customers and ensuring requirements are well-documented and understood by plant operations
• Work with Engineering and Supplier Quality on PPAPs and change management

Job Requirements

• 7+ years of manufacturing experience with a background in quality assurance or process control
• Bachelor\'s degree required in Engineering or other STEM field
• Experience performing quality audits, certified quality auditor preferred
• ASQ or Lean Six Sigma certification a plus
• Experience in ISO certified or regulated workplace a plus
• Plastic injection molding or metal container manufacturing experience a plus
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Minitab, ERP systems, Power BI, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience with process auditing, QMS auditing
• Expertise in process improvement principles and a structured approach to problem solving
• Ability to effectively facilitate training sessions and Kaizen events
