JPMorgan Chase Commercial Loan Servicing Associate-Wholesale Lending Services in Chicago, Illinois
Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) is part of the JPMorgan Chase Commercial Bank providing lending servicing support to multiple business units across the firm and around the world. The Operation provides loan documentation; closing and funding; payment and fee processing; syndication loan trade processing; credit administration; collateral perfection and management, customer service and reporting; and construction management
As a Loan Servicing Associate you will primarily support the quality control and risk monitoring of the largest and most sophisticated corporate loan transactions in the market. You will provide governance and transactional approval for teams directly managing the syndicated credit structures agented by JPMorgan or bilateral loans extended to a borrower solely by JPMorgan. This is principally an internal role with direct contact with internal stakeholders in the various stages and lines of business associated with Wholesale Lending. This is an Associate level role.
Job Responsibilities:
Approve loan activity (fundings, repricings, payments, etc.) as submitted by agency servicing teams in accordance with client instructions, credit agreements, and internal controls
Oversee implementation and monitoring of internal controls relating to payments and/or funding transactions, pricing changes, borrowing base changes, and other client impact transactions
Ensure all daily funding and payment activity is completed in accordance with appropriate funding cut offs across all currencies
Govern the maintenance and approval of pricing and related margin changes
Manage agency risk events, including root cause analysis and reporting to risk & control partners
Act as agency representatives for any matters relating to risk & control and related reporting, including SOX, internal/external audit, etc.
Perform quality control on new deals, restructures and amendments by thoroughly understanding the credit agreement verifying system set up accuracy
Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills
3 years of commercial loan operations experience
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong interpersonal & client servicing skills
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Ability to manage concurrent assignments in an effective, efficient, and organized manner and ability to work independently within a team environment
Strong analytical, problem solving and proven decision-making skills
General to intermediate accounting knowledge
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Undergraduate degree is strongly preferred
Loan Servicing experience
Experience with reading and interpreting syndicated loan documentation or related experience dealing with legal documentation is preferred
