Overview

Epstein is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer that specializes in bridge design. The ideal candidate will have experience structural analysis, preparing bridge plans and performing bridge inspections. NBIS Certification and performing load ratings is a plus. Experience specific to transportation (IDOT, CDOT and the Tollway) is required. This position requires candidates to have excellent structural analysis skills to design innovative and technically sound solutions in accordance to project requirements and application codes. The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, control, and integration of engineering activities and the development of project deliverables to insure the success of their project. We are looking for a strong technical leader.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree (Masters preferred) in Structural Engineering
• Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) or Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• 6+ years of successful project experience within a consulting engineering firm
• Expertise in bridge design principles
• Awareness of other disciplines and the interrelationship of the various elements of design
• Strong analytical skills; knowledge of analysis methods
• Experience in dealing with clients, contractors and vendors
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Successful experience supporting multiple projects
• Knowledge of Illinois Department of Transportation design standards, procedures and specifications is preferred.

This position requires candidates to be proficient in structural design programs and familiar with Microstation. All candidates must have a strong work ethic, a relentless drive to fulfill commitments, and tremendous enthusiasm.
