Synchrony AVP, Technology Integration in CHICAGO, Illinois
R o l e Summary / P u r p o se:
The AVP Technology Integration role will be responsible for leading new partner integrations into Synchrony’s technology platforms. This role will lead all technology aspects for onboarding new clients and converting portfolios. This role will work closely with Synchrony’s partners through the lifecycle of the project from understanding all technology requirements, helping strategize technology offerings during the RFP process, to developing a launch plan and execution. This role is responsible for collaborating with digital and technology platform owners in partnership with the cross-functional portfolio teams to build and launch these platforms for Synchrony’s new partners. This role will also be responsible for driving transformations as part of the partner integration process.

This position is eligible to work remote, where you will work from home, and may require you to occasionally commute to one of our hubs for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Remote candidates will be considered who live near any Synchrony hub including: Alpharetta, GA, Chicago, IL, Costa Mesa, CA, Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Altamonte Springs, FL, Charlotte, NC, Dayton, OH, St. Paul, MN or Phoenix, AZ.
Be the “face” of Synchrony to the new client during the integration phase and centrally coordinate all aspects of technology to successfully launch a new program.
Work directly with client to represent digital and technology needs.
Assign necessary tasks to team members and provide direction & guidance for timelines, process, prioritization, milestones, reporting cadence, issue resolution, documentation, etc.
Evaluate business requirements and deliverables to ensure a comprehensive start-up or conversion plan is developed that encompasses all build, new feature testing, certification and other required testing.
Partner with internal product teams to align and evaluate best integration strategy for all features and functions committed to the new client.
Provide leadership and own the escalation point for all technology issue resolution that might arise across functional teams in assigned work streams.
Provide updates to Senior Leaders and other internal and external stake holders on integration project statuses on a regular basis.
Communicate and facilitate effectively across diverse audiences (program peers, key stakeholders, executives, etc.)
Participate as part of the Synchrony Innovation Station in contributing and leading innovation activities and practices with the full cross-functional product team and in partnership with the other Synchrony Innovation Stations.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Technology in the consumer banking industry ORHigh School Diploma\GED and a minimum of 8 years or experience in Technology

Experience influencing and directing people of all roles and levels outside of their reporting structure
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a “consistently meets expectations” performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 70,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
