Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Coach will assist the head coach with the organization, development, and implementation of a competitive NCAA Division I Track & Field program in compliance with NCAA and A10 Conference rules and regulations. This position will have coaching and recruiting responsibilities with mid-distance and distance.
Assists in practice planning, meet preparation, and athletic conditioning.
Assists in recruiting, daily practice and travel arrangements for team competition.
Assists with organizing team/alumni fundraising, mailings, event, public relations and other assignments.
Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Two years of collegiate coaching experience in designated sport required. Understanding of and compliance with NCAA rules and regulations and commitment to the mission of Jesuit higher education.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and one to three years coaching Cross Country/Track & Field at the college level.
Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
Must have working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
