The Harris School of Public Policy invites applications for an Assistant Instructional Professor to help its instructors deliver the School\'s core courses in statistics, economics, and analytical politics, and to expand its elective course offerings.

The Harris core consists of three subjects --- statistics, economics, and analytical politics --- each of which is taught in multiple sections in both the fall and winter quarters. This position\'s responsibilities in the Harris core will include, but not be limited to, working with the lead instructors on the content and design of instructional materials, coordinating content across the three core sequences, coordinating the activities of all teaching assistants, holding discussion sessions with students in which lecture and problem set material are reviewed, holding office hours, maintaining the course websites, addressing students\' questions and situations, and interfacing with the School\'s office of Academic and Student Affairs.

The position will also involve lead instruction for two - four elective courses in the Assistant Instructional Professor\'s area of expertise.

The terms and conditions of employment for this position are covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the University.

Salary Range or Pay Grade: \$73,117 - \$95,000.

The position will be a two-year, renewable appointment. Qualifications for the appointment must include a demonstrated record of excellent teaching in relevant courses. Applicants must have teaching experience and have completed a Ph.D. by the start date in public policy, economics, political science, or related fields. The anticipated start date will be on or after September 1, 2025.
