About the role:

Develops business and negotiates the selling, leasing, and marketing of network and telecommunications services for clients through a deep understanding of IT infrastructure networks.

This senior account executive role would be an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.

What you’ll do:

  • Secures new and expanded business opportunities through prospecting, networking, relationship building, and selling additional CBRE services to current client base.

  • Provides prospective clients with pertinent information on network availability, current technologies, and market pricing.

  • Compiles network service availability for clients, such as technical surveys, summary reports, maps, status updates, and presentations necessary for l procuring network services.

  • Prepares Request for Proposals (RFP) and reviews RFP responses. Analyzes data and prepares detailed analysis of service provider responses, and market comparisons.

  • Gathers and coordinates materials necessary for transactions such as listing agreements, service agreements, fiber and network leases, and sales agreements.

  • Prepares offers, term sheets, and contract amendments.

  • Participates in contract negotiations and due diligence.

  • Maintains current knowledge of market conditions, service provider offerings, interconnection points, and legislation that may affect the telecommunications industry.

  • Drafts correspondence to existing and prospective clients. Gathers, prepares, and distributes marketing materials.

  • Engages in local business community and charitable events, as well as industry and professional associations for the purpose of creating new contacts and generating new business.

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date information in company databases.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university.

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the telecommunications industry.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

  • Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Knowledge in Fiber networks, DIA/HSIP, SIP is required.

  • Experience with voice and data network is required.

  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $95,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $125,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
