Oracle Principal Applications Developer in Cheyenne, Wyoming

Job Description

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

We are looking for self-motivated and experienced Java and ADF developers to join a team within the Fusion Applications organization to build a next generation employee-focused rich-media and video-centric application.

Expect a high-paced, quality-driven environment with a team focused on delivering a product with an elegant and performant product.

This position is for an experienced professional. Successful candidates will have:

  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills

  • Ability to own key portions of functionality from design through implementation, acceptance and release.

  • Significant experience in software architecture/design. You should be able to devise, design and implement complex algorithms at the highest professional level.

  • Multiple years of experience in Java; class loaders, thread management, security, serialization should all be your friends.

  • Ability to write and analyze complex SQL

  • Web technologies (HTML5 & frameworks, CSS, JS/JSON, AJAX, REST)

  • Experience in creating and managing WBS, task estimation and delegation.

  • Effective prioritization skills

Experience in the following is also highly desirable:

  • Database design, planning and optimization & PL/SQL

  • Experience in Oracle ADF technology (VO/EO/BC/AM etc.)

  • OR design patterns

  • Agile Development Methodologies (Scrum, XP etc.)

  • SOA and BPEL
