Goddard School Lead Teacher Infant in Chesterfield, Virginia
The Goddard School of Chesterfield, VA is looking for a qualified and loving Lead Infant Teacher. The responsibilities would be supervision and management of children ranging from 6 weeks - 12 Months of age. Our School is Accredited and Award-Winning within Goddard Systems. Overview A Lead Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for: * Establishing and maintaining a s safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment * Maintaining a positive relationship with parents, children, and co-workers * Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis and participate in parent-teacher conferences * Maintains a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create and explore * Responds to the needs of the children * Lesson plans are provided, but customizable by the Lead Teacher and Team * Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions, ensuring that training requirements are met or exceeded * Observes all rules and regulations of The Goddard School and local, and state regulatory agencies * Keeps accurate attendance numbers at all times, including signing children in/out in the attendance binders and on tablet * Able to lift children up to 30 lbs Benefits * Insurance Available * Paid Time Off After 90 Days * Holiday Pay After 90 Days Educational Qualifications All candidates who wish to be considered for the position of Lead Teacher must have either a degree in Education (Associate or Bachelor's) or CDA (or show proof that you are enrolled in the program). Applicants can also be enrolled in college courses or CDA at the time of applying. MUST ALSO HAVE AT LEAST 6 MONTHS OR MORE EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A LICENSED CHILDCARE FACILITIY OR SCHOOL SETTING.
