Goddard School Lead Preschool Teacher in Chesterfield, Virginia
Our Award-Winning Goddard School, located at 10211 Krause Road in Chesterfield, is hiring a Lead Preschool Teacher full-time that has 6 plus months of experience working in a preschool setting. We are an accredited preschool serving 6 weeks - 12 years of age. Overview A Lead Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for: * Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment * Maintaining a positive relationship with parents, children, and co-workers * Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis and participates in parent-teacher conferences * Maintains a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create and explore * Responds to the needs of children * Plan, develop, and implement lesson plans for assigned classroom * Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and /or school functions, ensuring that training requirements are met or exceeded * Observes all rules and regulations of The Goddard School and local, state regulatory agencies * Supervises and works well with an assistant teacher * Keeps accurate attendance numbers at all times, including signing children in/out in the attendance binder and on the tablet Benefits * Insurance Available * Paid Holiday after 90 Days of Employment * Paid Time Off after 90 Days of Employment Educational Qualifications All candidates, who wish to be considered for the position of Lead Teacher, must have either a degree in Education (Associated or Bachelor's) or CDA. Applicants can also be enrolled in college courses or the CDA program at the time of applying.
