Global Velocity Team Change Management Lead


Bayer’s Global Velocity Transition (GVT) Program is responsible for supporting the Digital Transformation of Bayer Crop Science by leading and driving the efficient, effective, and timely transition of end users from current field trialing and laboratory IT systems to the new Velocity IT platform. This is a large Program with(annual spend of €50-75m) and reaches end users that cut across several Bayer Crop Science functions. The primary responsibilities of this role, GVT Change Management Lead, are to:

  • Lead and implement the Program Change Management Strategy and end user Change Journey for the Global Velocity Transition Program (annual spend of €50-75m);

  • Develop global change strategy and build supporting content to enable Functional Change Leads to execute the end user change journey within a launch;

  • Lead Velocity Change Management network, lead, coach and guide Functional Change Leads in the development of approaches / templates and the tailoring and execution of these tools to enable the change journey in their function;

  • Consult Functional Change Lead to strategically and continuously adapt content, templates and tools to ensure quality of end user experience;

  • Coordinate with Functional Change Leads to deliver content and materials to end users;

  • Partner with Velocity Program Strategy, Training, Launch Execution and Program Management on holistic and coordination delivery of Program deliverables;

  • Be a member of the Velocity Acceleration Leadership Team;

  • Develop strategy for program-level communications / branding, communication channels, tools and media, color schemes, review / approval processes;

  • Partner with Communications Team on the delivery of communications materials;

  • Develop executive stakeholder management strategy / plan to ensure buying\ leadership alignment;

  • Develop Quality Assurance strategy to oversee quality of change management content and deliverables across all functions;

  • Oversee / monitor overall status change journey execution across the program;

  • Adapt overall end user change journey based on key learnings from post launch retrospectives;

  • Measure effectiveness change activities (surveys, retrospective, pulse checks, etc.);

  • Summarize/act upon key learnings.

  • The preferred locations for this role are Creve Coeur, MO or Chesterfield, MO. Relocation assistance may be offered for qualified candidates;

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience;

  • Certification in Change Management Practice;

  • Significant experience in leading Change for large-scale and complex transformations on a global scale;

  • Demonstrated ability identifying and overcoming resistance and barriers to Change in partnership with action;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Excellent organizational skills;

  • Proven stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant Change Management experience;

  • Familiarity with program and portfolio management;

  • Experience leading transformation projects within Enterprise IT organizations;

  • Basic understanding of agile software development practices including story and sprint planning and backlog management.
