NiSource Manager Systems Operations in Chester, Virginia
Job Summary
Manages with a functional focus on the initiatives associated with the applicable technical functions of corrosion and leakage. Manages a team of Front Line Leaders and Support Specialists responsible for supporting Field Operations in cathodic protection, leakage inspection, and pipeline integrity. Ensures that efforts are in accordance with all applicable company and regulatory requirements while ensuring safe, reliable service to customers in an efficient, economical manner.
This position will report to the Vice President and General Manager.
Essential Functions
Manages the technical operational functions related to Leakage and Corrosion Control
Establishes priorities, identifies opportunities and develops programs to obtain value-added initiatives
Responsible for implementing and managing operations budgets and Work Plans to meet State specific strategic objectives
Manages operating responsibilities/expectations for the Technical staff and implements initiatives that ensure compliance with MA and PHMSA regulatory agency requirements
Identifies, develops and prioritizes delivery of technical services training
Fosters the necessary environment for effective customer satisfaction
Manages, implements, and stays focused on the latest technologies, rulemaking, and practices related to corrosion and leakage
Provides specific direction and coaching for the System Operations Front Line Leaders
Ability to accurately manage across Operating Center functional boundaries and to understand state specific Gas Standards and Regulatory requirements
Strong interaction between peer groups that promote integration of best practices
Reliable, efficient service within the Leakage and Corrosion functions
Assures effective, knowledgeable, and safety conscious leakage and corrosion technicians
Safe, reliable & efficient pressure control and maintenance of associated facilities
Cathodically protected/mitigated distribution systems
Compliance with operating company, state and federal regulations
Efficient, well-managed leakage control programs
Assures Safe and efficient execution of Natural Gas service
Required Qualifications For Position
1-3 years Three (3) years of Leadership experience
4-6 years Five (5) years Operations experience
Strong knowledge of budgeting processes
Demonstrated knowledge of the philosophy and process of Continuous Improvement
Broad familiarity with PC applications
Knowledge of LDC operations, policies, programs and practices
Demonstrated ability to provide oversight, leadership and direction in the overall management of Corrosion, Leakage Control
Familiarity with Columbia Gas Capital and O&M budgeting processes
Demonstrated ability to provide oversight, leadership and direction in the overall management of Corrosion, Leakage Control
Familiarity with Columbia Gas Capital and O&M budgeting processes
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
Experience in managing one or more of the following functions: corrosion and leakage
Certified Material Selection/Design Specialist-NACE NACE CertificationUpon Hire

Salary Range:
$129,500.00 - $194,300.00
