Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

Aerotek is hiring for skilled Heavy Equipment Operators in the Richmond area. In this role, you will be operating heavy machinery on various construction sites, handling equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, and front end loaders to achieve both rough and fine grading tasks. Outside of the cab, you will also be required to perform manual labor, including cleaning of tracks on track equipment at the end of your shift, assisting with grade setting and silt fence installation, among other necessary duties. Maintaining a clean and uncluttered equipment cab is essential, as well as reporting any necessary repairs and ensuring proper lubrication and use of all equipment operated.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position on jobsites throughout Richmond, Virginia.

Work Environment

40-50 hour work week, typically from Monday - Friday, 7am-5pm, but flexibility to work some weekends is required depending on weather conditions.
