Dollar Tree TRANSPORTATION MAINTENANCE SUPPORT COORDINATOR in Chesapeake, Virginia

General Summary:

This job requires outstanding attention to details. Prepares all related documentation to ensure Family Dollar & Dollar Tree Transportation equipment is brought in service expediently and remains in service in accordance with DOT and company requirements, maintains equipment records and performs data entry as needed. Provides administrative support/ customer service to our Transportation Maintenance DC Team Members and others as instructed.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares, organizes, scans, emails, ships all required documentation related to current transportation equipment re-titling and to new transportation equipment titling/ registering/ tagging.

  2. Prepares required documentation related to the annual registration renewals for transportation equipment fleets.

  3. Data entry, but not limited to, updating Transportation Maintenance Management database and other data sources, as tasked.

  4. Assist in performing accurate data extraction from the Transportation Maintenance Management database and other sources to determine status of equipment and DOT/company compliance for preventive maintenance inspections.

  5. Assist in tracking & documenting vendor claims for equipment damage in coordination with our Transportation Maintenance DC Team Members.

  6. Assist in producing reports for Management, including distribution of trailers and yard trucks within our company network, storage trailers listing, age analysis for our trailers fleet, etc…

  7. Maintains an organized work area to allow the provision of quick/precise answers to Management’s questions.

  8. Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety.

  9. Follows all Company policies and procedures.

  10. All other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience : Previous administrative and/or transportation maintenance experience. Must have an excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook – proficient in creating and manipulating spreadsheets and tracking equipment inventory.

Physical Requirements : Able to perform essential administrative functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Some physical effort needed with the ability to sporadically lift and move up to 30 pounds.

Certifications: Must posses a valid driver’s license and have a clean Motor Vehicle record.

Working Conditions: Team Member will work in an office setting.

Availability : Team Member will perform most work in the office with possibility of some remote work.
