Job Description

The Storeroom Attendant is responsible for managing inventory, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the efficient operation of the storeroom. This role involves receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock counts, and report discrepancies.

  • Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage or discrepancies, and document accordingly.

  • Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and organization for easy retrieval.

  • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to internal or external customers.

  • Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.

  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts (sit-down) and pallet jacks, in good working condition.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues related to inventory or orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial cleaning, parts cleaning, sandblasting, grinding, general labor, facilities maintenance, manual labor, janitorial duties, and custodial maintenance

Work Environment

You will be working in climate-controlled areas of an industrial machine shop environment. The position is available on the 1st shift from 6 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
