Dollar Tree Sales and Promotion Coordinator - DT in Chesapeake, Virginia

The Sales Promotions Coordinator supports the merchants and the merchandise department through price management, notifications to the field as well as overseeing the key actions of the promotional calendar.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Monitors Scanning/Pricing Mailbox, take action necessary to correct issues, provides a response to contributors.

  • Runs queries such as the DC error report, lighter sales, etc, taking action necessary to correct issues

  • Submit price events obtaining approvals and then releasing to update MMS and register files.

  • Assists with creating tracking events for approved events.

  • Assists with updating MMS items files as directed by pricing manager.

Communications

  • Create Pull/Hold/Destroy/return to sales floor communications to include checklist for follow-up.

  • Create communications and distribution lists for DSD, Bread, Test items, Pull/Hold/Destroy RTS, using templates and forward to Merchandise Memo for publication to field.

  • Create and maintains sales planner production calendar with completion dates for each action.

  • Creates sales planner spreadsheet for current sales planner based on store set dates.

  • Communicate with merchant teams about upcoming sales planner configuration- update events.

  • Set calendar reminders with upcoming planner due dates for buying teams.

  • Update sales planner spreadsheet every week until the final version due date.

  • Collect display diagrams from merchant teams and turnover to PSCs.

  • Discuss with PSCs the cases to order to ensure samples and quantities ordered are needed.

  • Order samples from vendors to be sent to the SSC for PSCs to display and photograph.

  • Order samples for Dollar Tree Direct and Marketing Teams to be sent to SMSB or SSC

  • Maintain tracking information for samples ordered and follow-up as necessary.

  • Creates event summary spreadsheet for each planner with breakout by store size.

  • Creates sales planner spreadsheet for current sales planner based on store set dates.

  • Communicate with merchant teams about upcoming sales planner configuration- update events.
