JOB DESCRIPTION: TOPS ENRICHMENT DAY PROGRAM FACILITATOR
Reports to: Supervisor, TOPS Program
Primary Responsibilities: Provide support and programming assistance in the TOPS (To Our Positive Success) Enrichment Day Program
Specific Responsibilities:
Assist with the creation and implementation of educational and enriching programming ideas
Develop and lead activities and programs
Facilitate appropriate social interactions among the group participants and assist with their participation in group activities
Help mediate any conflicts during programming
Represent TOPS program to prospective and participating families and other members of the community
Assist with coordination of transportation for the participants
Participate in continuing education courses as mandated by state agencies and JFCS
Provide needed support to TOPS Supervisor which could include: arriving early or staying late as needed, obtaining or replenishing supplies.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in psychology, counseling, teaching or related field OR
One years experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Ability to interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner
Candidate must be empathetic, compassionate, independent and have the ability to have fun
Valid driver’s license, registration, insurance and good driving record
