Job Summary

The primary job role involves providing software engineering support for bug fixes and related issues identified within the system, modifying existing code to improve the solution, providing business support for ad-hoc concerns, and automating repetitive tasks to minimize unplanned work. The ideal candidate will have a strong software background enabling them to participate in different areas of responsibility across the development team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional troubleshooting, product maintenance, and assistance with product feature enhancements or changes.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues in code & databases.

  • Modify code to remedy issues using good designs and architectural patterns.

  • Cultivate and support good development practices in the team.

  • Write unit or functional tests when issues are resolved to increase test coverage.

  • Participate and contribute to the code review process.

  • Work with Dev Manager and Product owner to determine priorities of work items.

  • Provide prompt/accurate feedback to requests from internal customers & team.

  • Work with lower-tier support teams to research and troubleshoot tickets.

  • Ensure documentation is updated to reflect any changes made to the system.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong Proficiency required in all of the following: ASP.NET, C#, T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, .NET Core (nice to have but not required)

  • Familiarity with JavaScript Frameworks (VUE.js, jQuery), Git, and JIRA

  • Strong understanding of patterns and designs that improve code maintainability.

  • Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot complex issues in code as well as databases.

  • Committed to personal high standards proven by excellent attendance and the desire and ability to contribute to team and company goals.

  • Good command of English language (verbal and written).

  • At least 3 years' experience. • Computer Graduate, such as BCA or MCA, or relevant experience.

  • Candidate must be based in Chennai.

  • Willing to work the Night Shift 5 days/week.
