Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operational activities of the organization, plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and effective operations across multiple teams. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve organizational goals. The Operations Manager in DCI (Digital Competitive Intelligence) will lead a team of managers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of operational initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Own and drive operational and business goals/metrics for the team owned

  2. Manage the team of Managers and ensure high service delivery and execution

  3. Manage the organization structure, and continuously look to align with scope of work, skill requirement, and budget

  4. Establish & drive business communication and reviews with senior stakeholders and leadership.

  5. Set a high-quality bar and continuously reinforce a culture of quality and innovation

  6. Drive continuous focus on process excellence and automation by collaborating with technical teams. Provide inputs for technology roadmap for tool-development projects to improve process efficiency, quality and end-customer impact

  7. Set high hiring and performance bar, and drive performance management strategy, create mechanisms to measure and benchmark talent at various levels in the function, identify top talent and create leadership pipeline for self and all levels in the team.

About the team

The DCI Operations team engages in requirement collection, planning, feasibility analysis, testing, mapping, auditing, analyzing, and reporting to Digital Acceleration (DA) business and program management functions. We enhance services by manually constructing mappings between Amazon products and other databases/web pages, such as online repositories, competitors' websites, social media, etc., until the process is automated, and we provide audit support to ensure accuracy after automation. We provide Digital Businesses with a variety of efficient, dependable, and adaptable services, such as new competitor identification and certification for price/selection monitoring, Marketplace analysis, Lowest Price recommendation, Widest Selection opportunity, Contractual audits, Product Correlation, and Data extraction.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of team management experience

  • Experience leading process improvements

  • 7+ years of overall experience with at least 1+ years of experience in managing people managers

  • Strong, self-driven leader with demonstrated ability to proactively drive, manage and grow an operations team.

  • Excellent communication (written & oral) skills and detail oriented

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, ambiguous, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment

  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

    1. MBA from a premier management institute
    1. Six Sigma green or black belt certified
    1. Experience in e-commerce/Hi-tech/Retail industry or management consulting with focus on one of these industries
